Don't forget the post quoting trick where you can click the post number to link directly to the post! I find it handier, since I need to open three windows to get to my old post.

I don't suppose you could edit mine into the post link thread, Moonshadow? I got it here:

Quiet Man Cometh

Quoting this post will bring up the link details and then it's easy to copy/paste.

@Quiet Man done as you requested :)
I am not going to do the rest though. But for next year if we do this again it might be easier to do it the way you indicated. Thanks.

I personally find it easier, but yes, updating threads can be a pain, thus I went and got the link myself. ;)

I have a chance to sit and read but I'm (trying) to draw instead. I guess it's a fair trade for now.

I just started reading The Boy Who Died and Came Back by Robert Moss.
OMG! that book is a total trip! Very interesting.
I finally finished all the 6 books I was reading, now I am only reading that one, and my DSP Daily Spiritual Practice book.

one thing i like about the school stories for EAH they are not all that big and can be finished in a few hours... still very good books.

i finished another book - the Time Machine! then again, it was a very thin book. it's the first time i've read it, believe it or not.

this puts my count at 28 books read! woot!!

What is EAH? Never heard of it.

Ever After High. Its both a doll line from Mattel and a web toon series and a series on Netflix. Shannon Hale is the original creator...another author wrote the School Stories with permission and they are good books.

Its basically a series about a high school for the teenage sons and daughters of fairy tale characters... it IS linked to Monster high in some way.

Ah. I'm familiar with it, a little. My youngest niece was big into Monster High and to a lesser extent, EAH, so I had some exposure.

I think I have most of Boo York memorized by now. Some of those songs are pretty catchy.

I do like to read kid's books on occasion, for memories, simple reading, and just because they can be cute. I write, or have been trying to lately (blocked here) and exposure to all sorts of writing styles is good for that.

Trystan: I love The Time Machine, I have read it many times, its quick but its just the perfect little book isn't it.

I need to update my list but I believe I am at 40 or 42 right now. I have been on a reading tear this year, mostly because I don't spend all day on my iPhone anymore.

i agree, Moonshadow!

also, i see 'Ever After' and think of the Hollows series.... XD

Finished one more book, which puts me at 15!
Only 5 more to actually catch up with my list!
XD

I'm sure when 2018 rolls around I'll have another list for that and I'll have to really step into gear if I actually want to make progress. Or, find some very short books that will knock off the specifics.

Maybe next year I'll just go for the flat 30 books and list them as I go.

im just hoping to have the time to read.... looking for work is taking up to much time >C<

Purple Box: good luck finding a job.
I'm losing interest in the book I am reading now. Its called The Boy Who Died and Came back by Robert Moss. It's a bit repetitive.

I'm actually close to finishing my two books but I'm bouncing between each because I don't know which one I want to finish first! My genre book or my other book.

I still find myself interested in my video game book each time I pick it up. I wonder if I can't get away with sliding it under "book on about a difficult topic" as, while it's focus is video games, so far we've looked at them in the context of depression, societal upheaval, life trauma, etc.

The chapter I just read on "Empathy" talked about the different thoughts on video game like Battlefield 3 or Call of Duty in countries like Iran. Video games are encouraged by parents because they keep kids entertained inside where it's safer than playing out in the streets where they could get shot or caught in a suicide bombing. The warfare in the games isn't seen as a big deal because it's what's going on already.
