So Nic finished up what he was doing before starting to walk out of the suite.

"Where are you going?" Laurel called after him, not getting up.

"To your room," Nic replied as he kept walking.

"Am I supposed to follow? How far is it?" she asked, a little worried about the walk.

"Stay," he told her as he walked out the door.

Laurel sighed but eventually she slowly walked over to start cleaning up.

A half hour later Nic returned with a bag of some clothes for Laurel along with a pair of shoes. He had brought plenty of options in his opinion - so two choices of top and two choices of bottom along with some undergarments and socks.

Laurel looked embarrassed as she looked through the bag, "... T... Thanks," she murmured as she slowly stood and glanced around for the closest room to change.

Nic took over in the kitchen, letting Laurel have the bathroom or bedroom to change.

Laurel came back dressed in the most casual options. She sighed as she took a seat, "I think we should talk," she said simply but Nic could tell she had a serious tone.

Nic didn't say anything as he kept cleaning.

"It's obvious that it's a problem when we're physically together but so distant mentally. There's a lot of things we need to clear up. We'll take it slow of course, but we need to put in the effort or this is not going to work," she cautioned.

Nic didn't reply.

Laurel paused, "You do want this to work, right?" she tried again.

There was a very brief pause before Nic nodded.

Laurel paused, maybe yes/no questions were the best with Nic, "You black out because of past memories, right?"
