Did I ever mention that one time when Oren and Mike were taking turns poking me from behind, and then Oren stopped so it was just Mike, but I didn't know, whirled around, and punched Oren in the stomach?
.......Like, I suppose I'm often much more forceful than you are in getting my point across, maybe...? Did they think you were just joking or something?
Perhaps...I don't know. I wasn't good at displaying the right cues back then (still pretty crappy, but now it doesn't seem to matter as much to people)
All I know is that though I'd tell them to stop or I'll send them to the ground, though I am perfectly capable of it, and though I really, really wanted to... I wouldn't.
Yeah, my method of telling people is just "Please stop. It really bothers me. I know I do it at times, and if you want me to stop, just tell me. I'll try to remember."
"Or else?" is usually met by "Just stop; I don't like it."
One of my FB statuses concerned JTK and other screamers, and I really hate being scared/spooked, so I asked people to stop. Obviously there are gonna be people who post those things just to get their friends, and aren't targeting me, but. With those things, I'm actually concerned that I might hurt myself or not be able to sleep, and I don't want any of that to creep into my nightmares, so.
Like, back in third (?) grade, we watched the The Emperor's Nightingale, and for some reason, the figure of Death just so creeped me out that I couldn't stand looking at even a picture of a skull or anything remote skull-like for years. (It's only recently stopped being such a problem.)
EDIT: Actually. I still turn around when skulls pop up on history shows.
I'm not good at violent reflexes, but then again, that's not the reason why I don't go to haunted houses. I mean, if I'm with friends/other people/not the only one in the haunted house, I'm sort of fine with that, because I'm good at telling where things are based on where people are screaming/reacting, and how far away they sound.
