Heehee. I tried to go vegetarian, but it didn't quite work out. At the time, though, I wasn't in a good position to change my diet, I think. Not enough protein and essential nutrients with the only non-meat foods we can afford. Being poor sucks, lol.

Amen, DK. We've been living off food stamps the past couple months and I've gained weight from all the crap we've had to eat. XP Generic brands are cheaper, but still not that much better for ya. XP

Yeah, grandma eats some really weird stuff. I only eat what I can identify. *shudders* Before I was old enough to speak for myself, they'd feed me tiny dried anchovies like chips. Like, the whole thing. I have an aversion to seafood thanks to that. *whimpers*

I've grown up on them too. Food stamps and when we had some extra, a little bit more with money-money. XP But hey, it's food. I'm glad for my family, even through ups and downs, so I think I'd rather grow up poor and with love than rich and with hate.
