Yeah pretty much. I wouldn't ever play after someone that pulled a prize (or god forbid, more than one) because wins just make them change the odds around.

I never play crane games because I never like the prizes in them xD All thin toys, and tons of Betty Boops

@Fulkth Aw hopefully you won't get sick!

I have a similar philosophy when it comes to slot machines in casinos...

If you're losing badly on a slot machine, move to one on either side of it, as the odds will more than likely improve. Just bear in mind, they won't put two "loose" machines side by side, but they might put two "tight" machines next to one another.

This knowledge comes from the six months I worked as a table games dealer/slot attendant at a casino in south central Iowa.
I use They/Them pronouns.

Edit:sigh.... why do messages appear so fastc sometimes!
When i was little i always let my lil sis choose what machine to enter my one coin in, most of the time we won.

What's a "loose" and "tight" machine?

I only won once on a real life crane game. I got a cool owl toy that was in a cape and wizard hat. It was pretty sweet.

One you win more on or one you win less on.

I quite like the penny falls machines, but I think they're probably just as much as a con as the crane machines. I've not really been to overly many arcades though. I have always wanted to go and spend like a whole day in one though, like you see on TV. Though now I'm probably at the age where it's weird to do that haha.

Owls are cute :3 Even when they swivel 360 degrees

Hrm, so I guess "loose" for "loose wallet" or "I can afford to lose some money" and "tight" for "this machine is a tightwad for me"

I like penny falls machines too! I don't really care what I get for them xD. Everything's a keepsake.

is it the kind of machine where you put in a coin and it can push other coins over the edge? If you see one of those on a ship just wait nearby and hope for waves.

man, this conversation moves fast.

god bless ctrl+f. no one's said the word yet!

Yeah that's a penny falls machine! I've never been to a casino before either. I've always wanted to go to one though. I just want to do like a wild hangover-esque weekend in Vegas. Though my flatmates and I were looking up suite prioces in Ceaser's Palace or whatever it's called and it was like $39K a night, so even for a cheap Vegas getaway we need to do some serious saving haha.
