Military training...and yeah, bit hard to learn...though the stress and requirements did help provide the motivation to pick it up. Really only got it down during specialty training.

*sighs* Staying distracted is the only thing keeping me awake right now....don't need to think a lot right now...but such is life.

Distractions can help out a lot to keep a person awake xD. I think I've had times when I was sure I couldn't stay awake for much longer and then found something interesting to read/watch and I ended up staying awake for another hour or so.

Yeah...>.>...the Drill Sergeants certainly made sure we learned it, that's for sure. It really isn't healthy to do it for prolonged periods of time....a few days at most is preferred, but if necessary it can technically be sustained indefinitely since, from what I remember, the human body really only needs 4 hours of REM sleep a night to function and sustain itself.

That they can...staying distracted for another reason. Oh, and if I suddenly stop responding it's because I passed out.

From what I've always heard humans need 7-8 hours of sleep each night but, then again, it was never stated if it was REM sleep or not ^^;.

Yeah, I did end up staying up late. Didn't want to really go to sleep but didn't want to be awake....sleep won out eventually though.

Didn't faint, just fell asleep watching Netflix...didn't help that Trisphee was on its nightly maintenance so less distractions.
