My house looked like a twister came through, but after moving in, it looks like a house.

Serious question:

Does anyone know what to do when you have a nesting duck in your bacckyard and kitties that really really want to go outside?

Keep the kitties in, do not let them out. Wait for the eggs to hatch and then call animal control... or call them now.

I've been reading a lot about it too.

I know that it's a mallard duck that will hatch 28 days after nesting.
How long has it been nesting? Fuck if I know, we just moved here like a week ago. So like, at least 7 days?

I know where its pond is. I've seen the male waiting for it as well as a lot of other duck families (so cute!)

I know to open the gate once they hatch so they can all walk together to the pond. That's about all I know though. The duck has gotten pretty used to people so she's not very easily spooked anymore.

Duck update: I guess they hatched? I came out this morning and all the eggs were open and the momma was nowhere to be found
