So I'm not cross stitching for now
because of the mistake. Don't want to
make another one.

My first sewn vest I made yesterday. I had to cut out the majority of the steps to make it and lots of fustration over the pieces because the pieces in the picture don't match the actual pieces. Pattern, buttons, thread, and fabrice (clearence $1.50 a yard!!!!) are all from Wal-Mart

(。◕‿◕。) Cool, it looks good Echo. Nice job. I want to sew
again but I usually end up going too
fast and make mistakes. I got a oriental
gown and shirt and pants suit that I want
to make but I'm still scared to do them up.
The fabric is a silky like and it's the
oriental fabrics you find at craft
stores. It's expensive and I'm scared it
will be ruined from my crappy sewing. lol
Well I'm still doing nothing, thinking of
reading for awhile. I really wished I didn't
make that mistake cross stitching.

doing costume satin is hell because my problem is that the fringe part gets caught in the foot and the bobbin and it's bitch to take out and it's a waste of time and thread

(。◕‿◕。) That's what I am afraid of. Plus ripping the fabric
pushing it through the feeder.

Mine was getting the threads tangled up so that why I take things slow, not to go too fast like Chinese kids in sweatshops

(。◕‿◕。) I go fast on accidents. I try not to but I just can't help
it. Not sure why either.

(。◕‿◕。) I used to be fine but since I haven't sewn for a long time, I
seem to have gotten a lead foot for
some reason. I guess I better try
and find a few small projects to sew
first to get used to it and then work
on the chinese outfits.

I've been on a crafting binge lately. I can't stop myself. I was compelled to make dozens of charms one week and this week I've been hand making soap. Next week I plan to start making coffee filter flowers. And I still feel like I need to have more craft plans after that.

It's nice to meet everyone.

You should show them here and if you can make mass merchandises you can sell them online :D
