Hah...that reminds of this practice an order of assassins would do to cure their members of a lack of confidence.

after they had been in training for a year or two (so they would be totally well muscled and fit) they would have the initiate (male and female) stand in front of a mirror naked for days on end only stopping to sleep and eat and such

I could NEVER do that!! *shudders* that sounds like my worst nightmare....

that's the point it would be awkward and embarrassing for them at first but after awhile they get used to it and then become completely used to themselves

It's hard to do that to my mom. She is wonderful at guilt trips. And then she makes me feel like it's my fault that I blew up at her for making me feel that way... And then I feel even worse about everything.

my mom used to do that...but i got used to it and then became immune to it

You would think that after almost 20 years of it I would be used to it.... but nope. I can still hear her voice in my head saying that I should be more like my brothers.... Be this be that.... I feel like she has never once heard me for what I want to be.

I watch a lot of food network.... it's just sort of mind numbing.... actual tv shows make me want to think.... food network just lets me veg.

I like it.... my brothers hate it when I watch it when we are home....
