Birds can still fly if they're missing a few feathers. They lose them naturally all the time. (My cockatiel is managing to maintain nearly-level flight even with HALF his wing feathers missing right now!) The only real risk is that plucking out a healthy feather might cause an injury -- but that's less of a problem than keeping the mousetrap caught, so the pigeon is better off now than it was before.

Finally got to meet a person I've been wanting to meet today! :D And had fun with friends.

Finally got a pack of silver age comic protectors to replace the ones my brother has from the 70s and 80s.

Determined that I might be able to temporarily fix my one pair of jeans (crotch hole, bleh) until I can afford new ones, which I need since my current jeans are both too big for me now.

My daily awesome is this music totally rocks, and its also morning so thats a bonus.

my husbento came home

I'm finally taking care of something I've been long meaning to take care of, but avoided due to retrograde. I feel a big weight being lifted off my shoulders.

My shadow made me look like I look really good today. Unfortunately, my body still needs some work and I need to get myself into a really good skincare routine still, but I'm getting there and will admit that I have re-gained my excellent waist definition by dropping a bunch of weight over the last year or so, which does make me happy. And I recognize that I need to get myself to a better place with my self-care, so hopefully I can get some goals set for all that.

Tl;dr: While I have a lot to work on still, I feel pretty okay with myself today.

My A1C came back as 6.1, which is very good since the target is 7.0 or lower. Yay diabetes control!
