hmm I am not sure what to say on that one. I understand social constructs around dating a friend of an Ex. Is he mature enough to have a straightforward conversation with you? And are you okay with talking to your Ex about it? I feel like if enough time as passed and there are no bad feelings between you and your ex then there should be nothing holding you back from at least a date with the new person.
