No kidding, if she wasn't my best friend I would bail on her. >.<

I don't have social anxiety, I just hate people. Especially people at parties... especially DRUNK people at parties.

If it were up to me I would just go hang out with her and give her a present by myself. Like we would sit around and watch movies or play Mario Kart and then be done...

but she requested my presence at her party... and I love her.

i need a lot of emotional preparation for large crowds lol.

i do best when it's sprung on me like a day or two before so i don't have too much time to angst

My sense of obligation will outweigh my annoyance or discomfort for pretty much any situation...

my husband on the other hand has to be warned several days in advance so he can have time to adjust his meds accordingly.

also, i'm much more extroverted than hubby... i'll go to places and meet people (but i do feel awkward. unless there's something we have in common - like yarn). hubby wants nothing to do with it at all. a friend had a halloween party at her house, invited me and hubby, and when i told him he was invited, he pretty much glowered at me. next time, i'm not even telling him he's invited to something like that.

true true, toho. i mean, sometimes i can explain why i have so many "sisters"...

my younger daughter has a whole convoluted 'high school family' with quite a number of "mom"s, "dad"s, and one guy who said he birthed my daughter, so.... this is along the lines of that, i think! XD
