Even though I know my stuff's worth what I asked, I still feel really crappy because a friend hasn't gotten back to me on whether or not he'd be commissioning me after I told him that for a picture of two characters, with full bodies drawn out, in color, would be $50.

Honestly, other than "I am crap, so I am free", $20 for individual characters seems about right I think.

I'd charge $20 per character if I were coloring the piece in traditional media. for digital media, there's the scanning, cleanup of the sketch, and then the coloring. which can take anywhere from 2-8+ hours depending on how complex the lineart is. 75% of what I charge for is labor.

So I was awake from 11:30 Friday morning to 4:45 yesterday afternoon... then I crashed and slept from then to 9:30 this morning...
