No i mean more like it sometimes feels a bit mocking, on gaia i think you sometimes had to enter captcha and almost every time it felt like it was mocking me.

Wow. that must've been after my time on Gaia. I left that site a long time ago... I remember though, I had a pair of toasters. one red, one yellow. I was so proud of having those. lol

In the early days of gaia it wasnt all that easy to earn money yeah so you treasured what you got i suppose but thats many years ago now.

oh, I just liked 'em 'cause I wrote a stupid Transformers fanfic in 2008 where Sunstreaker and Sideswipe teamed up with Wheeljack and Ratchet to prank everyone into believing Ratchet had rebuilt them into mobile toasters.

Okay i don't really understand transformers or had even seen much more than a minute or two of it until the new movies began coming out. So no of those names ring a bell.

Weren't those toasters worth around 150 gold each? O.O

I remember i had an account on gaia back when the starter set was peasants clothing, it is back then i mean gold was harder to earn when i got back to gaia much later with a new account 150 gold was easier to get but i never really used it for appliances got all of my 10 ones in the daily items.

MystMist, just chalk it up to me having a very strange sense of humor, and being old enough to remember reruns of the original Transformers cartoon.

Thats pretty early right? Way before the economy crashed, why did you leave back then?

I recently went back to gaia... I've been on there far too long. I hate what they're doing to the site (damned money grabbers) but some of the new games are fun to play, and the base community is still there, even if most of my friends have long since left. I think the thing I love most if how much the avatar clothing has improved, although I wish it had more of a layering system like here... ^_^;;

Games? They cancelled their biggest game zOMG which is a crying shame since it was a pretty good MMO, it kinda died out when they stopped updating it and now it is gone.
It would have probably been even more popular if it had been standalone and not connected to gaia.

I never managed to play zOMG...But their newest big game is Lake Kindred. I love playing Lake Kindred, it is very reminiscent of Pokemon, but much simpler and at the moment some of the rewards for defeating kin are awesome. The other game I enjoy playing is Switchem, it's so simple and makes trying to earn gold a bit more fun ^_^

hhhmmm... I left because during those times me and my friends had a hunch that Gaia's turning downhill from there and become a money greedy site. There were a lot of signs, minimal at first. The deciding point was the cash shop items, if I'm not mistaken that's what they're called.

Now it is even more money greedy i think and they should just have done a big reboot after the economy crash. But oh well i am not there anymore, lets talk about something nice and fun now instead? I know i know i mentioned it first but now i feel like something else but have no good ideas at the moment about what to talk about next.

Yeah it is. But I agree, we shouldn't dwell on it.

What's everyones favourite holiday sweets and treats? I love Candy Canes but we've not got any this year as our tree isn't big enough to put them on. The other thing I love is marzipan. I always got a chocolate coated marzipan bar in my stocking when I was living with family ^_^
