Yeah, unfortunately it has. I need to find another image hoster... previously, which means years and years ago, 3rd party hosting was exactly why I signed up for photobucket. They hugely advertised themselves as a site where (among other stuff) you can save all your graphics for forum avatars and signatures. Too bad they no longer offer that to everyone.

I don't think I've ever used any of their flashy features like image editor which they introduced later on - all I needed was a nice, small place to store nice, small pics.

yeh, that's how i used photobucket too...then they pushed for me to BUY storage, so i went to imageshack, and they did the same thing after a few years. =/ right now i'm using imgur, but i'm not completely sold on that....

i have tooooo many pictures and too many links to change if i were to move all my photobucket pics. they also don't get a crap-ton of views anymore, because no one is flocking to livejournal to see my picspams from Supernatural's season 1-5 (and maybe 6) any more! LOL! XD

so even though i got an email from PB saying had high traffic to my hotlinked pictures and to (over)pay for their service that'll let me hotlink 'em.... nah, it's not going to happen. new pics i need to post will probably be on my tinypic account.

Yeah, it's absolutely ridiculous. I mean, it's over 30 bucks a month if you do the math. For that I could easily get my own paid webspace and domain. Which means I have a stylish homepage, my own email, whatever other fancy scripts I install, plus still use a small fraction of my bandwidth to host the two or three images for my forum signature. But suuuuure, I'm going to pay all that just for picture hosting... *eyeroll*
