Yeah, which is why I can get so annoyed at times when people mess up a character. =w= Which is why I tend to start reading a bunch stories at a time...but only finish a few of them. :3
Weeding out stories is annoying, and it makes it harder when the author has crappy spelling and grammar yet a good plot line. =w=
I mean, seriously! You'd think they'd be able to get some good spelling and grammar if they were gonna be writing a story, but I guess guess not. Though it's not too bad since I started making a habit out of correcting spelling and grammar while I read, even though it does take me away from reading the fanfiction whole-heartedly... @w@

If someone mangles a character like that.. they need to be shot.

Unless if the story is set in an Alternate Universe then it might be alright. But the character's personality must stay intact

I wrote a gundam wing fanfic years ago.. the time frame was like so many years after the movie and stuff. Duo was in a abusive relationship which sorta broke him.. I got flammed so bad because a Gundam Pilot was Broken >.> yea sure they were in a war.. but even so.. they can still break I kept his personality as well as I could but when his abusive ex boyfriend came around he'd cower. and Hiro (Heero.. america sucks at spelling japanese names.. its HIRO D<) was Duo's Hero xD ahahaha yes.. I just made a lame ass joke =w= Hiro is Duo's Hero <3

From what I've read, you're hardly the first person to do that DK. There's even a couple "organizations" I've bumped into, thinkgs like "Society for the Defence of Duo's Balls" and such.

There's a very amusing, (and yet kinda sad) joke list written where three people put together what they learned of Gundan Wing from reading fan fiction. It was interesting, and entirely understandable.

I try to keep people in character, though my AU does have some OOC stuff, like Zechs and Relena being brother-sister (having not been separated after nasty attack) and as a result of this, Zechs is more loose and not the ball of dark, philosophizing self-hate that crops up in the series. He still doesn't' have a whole lot to do with running the kingdom though. Relena forges his signature when she needs it. ;)

The last chapter has been in and out of my head for some time now. I don't write fanfics very often anymore, save the odd snippet. I ought to think about a new one.

Kiddiss: I always copy my posts before I hit "reply" as Trisphee is hardly the first forum to drop posts on me. It might be a vBulletin thing, since the old Wizards of the Coast forum used to do that too. Not sure if it still does.

I watched the series when it was on television and ordered the movie. I haven't bought any of the DVD's, and only have the film because it was not on TV and that is on VCR. I'm not sure I have enough interest in the series to really merit buying it after all this time. I've seen the english dub through twice and miscellaneous episodes here and there (I swear there was a scene with Zechs reading a book in Endless Waltz, I've seen pictures of it, but the last time I watched the movie it had disappeared! I spentn an hour searching around the VHS to find it (no scene selects or easy forward/backward for me!)). I've been watching some of the unedited episodes on youtube since the series is old enough to be on there in it's entirety, but haven't managed to find much in Japanese.

I watch anime in either Japanese or English, I don't really care, but am interested in the dialogue differences. (Still things 80's English dub of Akira is better than the last release with new (apparently original) script.)

I like the show enough to try and get the dvds.. but i have 9 to go >x< 10 DVDs + the Movie .. bleh..

That scene with zechs.. i remember that.. it's where they announce him as a preventer.. or somethng like that. been a while since i watched it. they were all like. "I thought he was dead D<" xD

Yeah, but watching the last episode it can pretty much be assumed that he's not. If could find my videos I could transfer the episodes onto DVD and send them to you, but I think my sister still has them somewhere. It's actually fairly short, only 49 episodes or something. The manga still runs apparently. There are big cheers from the people who like the ZechsxNoin pairing when Frozen Teardrop came out because they are married with twins (Duo and Hilde's Marriage doesn't last). I read the internet synop. I like thge fact that, generally speaking, romance isn't a major point of the series.

I'm not a huge manga fan. I find it a little odd to read with illustrations now. Reading a comic book is somewhat odd and I have to remind myself to actually *look* at the pictures and not just zoom through the writing. Of course, the artwork makes a big difference. ;)

Heh. Yeah, the synop online is somewhat headspinning. I'm not really fond of how everyone is more or less linked together for whatever reason. It's nice for things to just be the way they are on occasion. One gets so inundated with plot twists that a plot twist isn't a twist anymore.

I get a little tired with fanfics that make people extraordinary for whatever reason. Gentic manipulation or bubble raised computer brained egg kid. That's one of the reasons I like Zechs in the series over the Gundam Pilots really (I found Treize actually kinda dull after a while. I guy can stand around and be mysterious for so long before it gets tiresome and it becomes 'do something or lets get back to the people who are doing stuff). Heero is fancy special training program raised without humanity kid whose abilities are beyond human. Zechs is military and is just that good. ;). Much more admirable in my opnion, really.

Yeah, he's interesting, though I'm not too familiar besides what crops up in fanfiction claming to be based on episode Zero. I like the plot bit in Frozen Teardrop with him being the new father maxwell. Interestingly, in all the art I've seen from the manga, you never see his face, or his head at all. It's always cut off. The rampant mini-me's are slightly more annoying though, but it makes it easy to tell who's related to who in terms of the next generation.

I found a site that had the artwork up. I like it, though the pics of young Treize and young Zechs do look a little severe. They look more or less the same minus hair and eyebrows.
