I don't watch it either and I have no idea who those people are, but I think the Sesame Street writers did a good job of setting the scene so you don't need any background.

I rode in an elevator that is over 100 years old today.. didn't know they had these things that still worked! I was never on the Titanic (obviously) but that's what it reminded me of.

That's one amazing elevator for sure. While I understand your anxiety, I still believe you got an awesome opportunity (and I'll try not to be jealous). Old stuff often looks so fascinating when compared to more modern iterations of the same thing.
