nice, i had boiled beef with crackers and cheese XD

The way you say that makes it more sound like snacks than a proper meal.

We've had a very emotional day with too many presents. We're just about to have dinner (hog roast with sweet potato fries and sprouts) ^_^

what do you mean cored?
and i usually light boil the brussel sprouts and then fry them with a bit sugar and lots of curry.
Default #1098
it means removing the core so that it is gone. the core has the bitter part of the brussel and why it smells funky XD it is much more palatable when it is removed
Default #1099
It doesnt smell or taste much different than most other cabbage.
Normal cabbage usually smells much more.
Besides removing the core of something that small just seems silly.

-shrugs- it's like taking the skin off of a kiwi or grape, small but done often enough

congrats!
Default #1102
Why would you remove the skin from kiwis or grapes? It seems unnecessary except if the kiwi isnt quite ripe then the skin can be a bit too sour.

the texture is unappealing or else the skin is culturally seen as 'gross' XD technically you can eat all of an orange but the pith and seeds but people still peel those
Default #1104
Well its much ticker and harder but even if you dont eat orange peels directly you still use it for stuff like to give extra taste to cakes or in marmalade.
