Went to the library to return a book and decided to photocopy a page out of it. Someone left a credit on the copier so I could get my single page with only a nickel instead of have to exchange coins at the main desk.

Also, when I handed the book in, the guy waved my (35 cents) late fee. Yay!

Decided to go for a swim in the lake on the drive home today, because it was so stupid hot. Swam around a bit. It was fun. No one seemed to care much.

I've always loved swimming, but I don't get a chance to do it often enough.

I remember one time when my son was... five or six? We went to the ocean to play in the water and the sand. I sat down in the shallow water with him in my lap and we'd let the waves roll in and wash over us. He giggled like crazy, especially on the bigger waves that made us float around. I made sure to hold him above the water... which turned out to be important, because one particularly large wave actually knocked me over onto my back. Scraped my back up really bad on the small rocks in the sand. I didn't actually notice anything was wrong; I thought my back just stung from a sunburn until my wife said my back was all bloody. Oops!
