"Well, that's a bit unseemly," Russel muttered as he was swatted away.

"A pipe down!" said Herbie dismissively as he showed Saya how to cook the clams.

Russel frowned, but watched the demonstration carefully.

Herbie spent most of the demonstration flirting and winking at Saya.

Russel tapped his foot on the sand. "If you please..."

"Don't mind if I do!" said Herbie grabbing Saya and giving her loud kiss, "What a dame!"

Russel's eyes widened for an instant, then the look of general disapproval was back. "It's a bit rude to kiss someone else's wife," he stated tersely.

"Ah what are you? A mormon? Lighten up pops!" said Herbie giving Russel a hearty whack on the back.

"Pops?" Russel questioned, dusting himself off as though Herbie's hand had been dirty.

"Well I take it you're older than me by a lot," said Herbie.

"I've just had my one-hundred-and-twenty-seventh birthday," Russel replied.

"Ha! Knew it!" said Herbie.

Russel smiled a bit. "How can you tell?"

"Cause you act like my pops," said Herbie popping a piece of freshly cooked food into his mouth.

"I see..." Russel blinked and decided not to question it further. "Well, I'm quite famished!" He turned to Saya. "Shall we?"

Saya nodded and handed him a plate, "Than you so much Her-bee! This vould haf been a disaster vithout you!" she cooed, giving Herbie a kiss on the cheek.
