he listened to the religious hate-speech bubbling out of pyce and it made him angry though just as much it reminded him that pyce was not just another down-on-his-luck man but one of the more influential and dangerous of their family's associates. "please do not, i will be cordial because we are partners, i will be nice because i am fond of you but you have already let me know how little you think of me. do not play as if there is nothing wrong." pulling the glass from the man's grip he drank it in one take, "i am not drunk enough to pretend it isn't wrong"

Galvin held his composure, continuing to chew his food before speaking. Even then there was a long considerable silence from him. He closed his eyes taking a deep breath and set his utensils down. If Ambrosia wanted to treat this like a deal once more he was fine with it. “It would depend on how much love you want and what that details.” He said happy to have his drink to wash away the bad taste in his mouth.

It was not pretending, and each time the other said so felt like a blow to the chest and his heart was being twisted and clawed out. He said nothing as he considered the others offer. He had trained his face not to give away his thoughts. "Which day did you have in mind?"
