Any of you (especially queer folx w a name that’s not your dead/birthname) ever try to order food and they’re like “What’s your name?” and you totally forget your name?

Because I’ve done that.

I always think for a second and say any random name.

I have a thing w forgetting which name to use where. Like, I use my dead/birthname when I’m w my parents, and Espy when I’m not.

Professors and classes can get a little weird.

Or when you try to order something...do you rehearse what you're going to say in your head, only to be asked something unexpected and you blurt out gibberish?

i vaguely want my name to be Percival for no apparent reason other than it's gender neutral enough. i don't think mum would approve of me changing my name, though.

All of the people in my teenage community had nicknames they went by. My was.... mugen because I cosplayed him and nobody could remember my name. It got so bad people were surprised when they learned that wasn’t my birth name

How... could... they think that was a western name

i just don't really think my name suits me anymore? it's weird and might have smth to do w/ my relationship with gender.
