I was in the tower where you just hack the treasure chests... the one near the ocean.. then I somehow got an Alt ending and when you get those.. and don't save BEFORE getting those, you lose ALLL that progress x-x so I had to do that damned tower all over again.. though I waited like a week cause my carpal tunnel acted up due to the hacking games.

Its like the third time I got an alt ending and didn't "system" save.. o3o, had to go through lots of replay xp

I didn't get an alt-ending there, DK. Do you know how you triggered it?

I got it after the tower, when it switched over to A2 i think.. I'd have to go through my video files to see what happened and when it happened.. I'm so use to the quick saves working as full system saves that I forget that nier has 2 different saves... Quick Save is for when you die.. System Save is when you get an ending or shut off the console.. =w=,

there is a trophy for looking up 2B's skirt 10 times btw she jumps away and gives you a nasty look. xD

The fate of the aliens who created the machines. I felt like I had no context at the time to even understand what it meant, and I just think maybe more could have been done with the concept.

I understand the whole point was the both humanity and the aliens are gone, and the androids/machines have to live without their Gods and have no purpose to their existence. I just... I don't know, something about the way it was done didn't do it for me.

How long were the aliens dead? ._. did Adam and Eve kill them? I was paying attention but not paying attention xD if that makes sense..

My understanding of it was that they'd died out long ago, but explaining why might be a spoiler if you haven't got through the Tower yet. :P

In a way expected.. but where did pod take 9S? >:o

Finding out that 2B is really a E unit was expected..

At the beginning of the game, she looked REALLY pissed that 9S didn't remember her. She even clenched her fists.. Then some where, she said something like 'this always happens' or something, meaning that this wasn't the first time she killed him. Him finding out that she was there to keep an eye on him and if he were to learn the secrets of YorHA she was to kill him and have his memory erased.

Seeing as they were active for a while before the start of the game, it would make sense she's killed him before for that. He's a Scanning type, he excels at information gathering. And just like this time, he's prolly come across the information before about the Humans being extinct and so on.. thus 2B (2E) needing to kill him and whip his memories.

Her reaction to the other E units wasn't that of shock either... I think that is when she said "This always happens" ..

Knowing some of the original NieR game's endings I don't expect happy endings..

THAT GHOST GIRL THAT KEPT APPEARING WAS A MACHINE LIFE FORM SPYING! D:< WTF! I kept wondering about her >-> She showed up in the alien ship for a second, and in the bunker when we're boarding a flight unit.

I need to choose 9S next time ovo gonna go through and get the other alt endings first.

A2 looked at peace at the end. =) That's nice ^-^

I actually took it a little differently.

The fact that she was crying when she had to kill 9S, and the pain in her voice when she said that line, I think she really legitimately LOVES him, even though she's not supposed to be able to feel that. And every little bonding moment they have is incredibly painful for her, because she knows it can't last, and she can't ever let anything grow between them because if she does, it'll make killing him that much harder, or even impossible.

It's an incredibly sad story, since in this horrible world they're in, where suicide is often preferable to living, a bond like that is beyond precious, and the thought that they could actually be happy together despite all the awful things that have happened to the world, if not for the pointless war they're stuck in... it's heartbreaking.

It seems to be implied that her memories are completely intact of all the time she's spent with him. I think the stoic dedication to their mission that she shows most of the time is her coping mechanism to deal with the unbelievable pain and guilt she's carrying around inside. She knows that even though their Gods (humanity) are dead, it's still possible somehow for her to have a meaningful life because of the feelings she has for 9S, but she can never have that because of the brutal reality she exists in.

And then to see the horrible anguish of her last moments, when she realizes that she's going to die for real, and that she'll never ever be able to see that dream come true, it was so powerful and sad for me. Absolutely beautiful and tragic.

A lot of the reviews and discussions I've read online say she's boring character with no depth, and I really think that's not a fair analysis of her character. You have to read between the lines and let the things you learn about her after she dies color what you saw of her when she was alive. Such a wonderful, depressing character arc.

I believe she's been in love with him from the start. After all, like I said, it's been implied that she's killed him multiple times before the start of the game, and each time she has to kill him, it hurts her more and more. Which is probably why she tries to be cold to 9S and distance herself from him.

Knowing that makes it even more heart wrenching. Also makes me wanna find out if the creator of the game put more info out into the world (outside nier automata like he did with the stage play that introduced A2)

Her last moments, where she gives A2 her sword that has her memories in them. At first I thought 2B's memories would over take A2, they never did.. But I think 2B had hope that some day, those memories would be put into a new body. Why else upload your memories (data) to a safe place, right? That's the process, upload your data get a new body when you die!

I think that finding out that, the ghost girl AI program thing was the one controlling EVERYTHING! Making sure that the androids barely survived each time the bunker blew, keeping this all going in a cycle.. @-@ that was mind blowing. Loved how it Fractured itself when A2 refused to fight it.



2B isn't boring at all! If one pays attention to the storyline you'd find a LOT of hidden emotions and depth to her. Too many people see her as a stoic lolita type =o=

I didn't find any of the characters boring to be honest.. well maybe 9S's operator was.. but the rest were really cool and had great personalities.

I'm not sure I'd really call it hope when she gives A2 the sword.
With the way things are going at that point, it seems like everything's coming to an end. I think she's analytical enough to realize how unlikely it is that anything good would come of it, but it's a very human gesture, either way.

Yesterday I came across the tie-in short story Memory Cage that shows 2B's first time killing 9S, you should look that up if you haven't yet.

There's an ending where the Pods use 2B, A2 9S's data to rebuild them. OvO ima go after that ending soon.. >w<
