I was on another avi site, and when I heard the avis were cool, I thought I'd take a gander, so here I am.

nice avi, duder. i mean yeah it's starter stuff, but most people have some troubles with the layering their first go. yours looks good.

Really? How do people have trouble with the layering on their first go? I'm not trying to be condescending or anything... I'm just curious. Also, Thank you. ^_^ Not much is up. I love the hair since it's similar to a character I "have". I spent all my Aurum on it, but it's worth it. I'll have to figure out what the some of the codes do, like the "H" and Profile tags, and the HTML. I'm not really sure what the indent one does either.

EDIT: I think I know why... the mouth I purchased seems too close to the nose to me. How do I rectify it?

not everyone realizes that there's a tab specifically for rearranging the item layers to your liking. i think it's because so many sites use set layering, so they throw on a few items here and think there's just unfortunate layering?? that's what i've gathered over the years, anyway. just a case of not realizing our avi system isn't so classical.

the face parts are set as is, i'm afraid. some facial features will look better together than others. there's no set position for eyes, noses, or mouths because different users like different face styles. it's good to get, or at least try on, a lot of the different features we have available to get a feel for the styling that you like best. a lot of our veteran users end up settling on a couple combos for their standard expressions.

the mouth you're currently using (or were using when i started this post) works much better without a nose equipped.

Oh, no, that mouth wasn't the one I was talking about. I'm talking about the open mouth. (I can't seem to spell mouth correctly on the first time, except for the one in parenthesis).

Anyways, I see. I think I need to learn the tabs, unless you mean the "face" "Shoes" "Bottom" etc, which I don't think you do. I just uh... put these things on.

EDIT: Nevermind, I learned about the layering of which you speak.

yeah i mean the one you have on now. it's a little large and cartoony to fit with most of our noses, so it looks a tad bit odd. it's cute on the right faces, tho.

those are the tabs i meant yeah, "layering" is its own tab in the editor. the other tabs are organization to help you find certain things. the layering tab takes you to the page that lets you see everything you have equipped and move them around to get your look just right. the more experienced you get with our avi system, the more time you'll spend in the layering tab, lol. hair is particularly fun to play with.

our owner, toho, is currently working on a new version of our editor that will have more neatly organized tabs, as well as a search/tag system to let us find what we need easier, and allow us to search by color. it's pretty exciting. i'm pretty excited.

Yeah, Glitch gave 'em to me. I was quite surprised. ^_^ Also, I think I like this layer thing the way it is... I mean the no set layer when you equip items.

yea, it's pretty rad. other avi sites don't really do it for me after the level of freedom i've gotten used to here, lol.
