I still don't know how this whole thing works but!! I found this part of the forum and will chill around here now presumably.

Anyway, I didn't know where to ask so, I am currently animating something for the anime Mushishi since it is a really enjoyable anime and relaxing to watch.
Was wondering if anyone on here dabbled in animation too or watched the anime.
Even if not u can always chat me up, I honestly am just here to enjoy casual talk

i've tried to do a few animation sequences before, but i really don't think it's for me, other than maybe little pixel animations, you know.

it's just. i don't have the patience or passion for animation, haha.

lmao i definitely get the patience thing.
Every time I animate I just scream periodically each 10 minutes to get me through,,, but the end result is sometimes really worth it imo

(also. pixels are hecka difficult,, big respect to all pixel artists out there. Feel like it's a lot more difficult since there's not much room for error, one single pixel can be enough to make it look off)

i mean. true. but at the same time, the smaller things get, the fewer possible ways you can make it look like it's supposed to look like. after a point, you can literally just guess at where pixels should go and eventually get it right, lol.

i actually wanted to get a job in animation, but there's no colleges of that sort around here. i'd have to travel by plane just to go to college.

think i'd be a better cashier, though.

big mood. there's exactly one animation college in Germany but I was hoping I might be able to get into the industry not over a degree,,,
Have been thinking about getting into it seriously but I might not have the patience for it idk. Can't scream 24/7 when working somewhere...

i mean, you could take commissions and put them in a portfolio? it's kinda rare that someone will get hired w/o a degree though.

You could probably get a bit of money, or au depending on if you need that sweet sweet RLC or just want to make internet money, with commissions. GL with going pro though! That sounds like it'd be tough with or without a degree!
