Honey and ants are the best. So sweet and crunchy! Plus they tickle your tongue a bit before the crunch.
STOP
I hate ants >:UUUU they're the worst insect ever |
ants >>>>>>>>>> wasps
Honey and wasps are pretty good too. You get a nice little burst of flavor when you bite into wasps too! Mmmm
Why are we eating bugs o.e
I've tried cricket protein bars and want to experiment with cricket flour if I can ever get it for a reasonable price.
>u> Everyone eats bugs.
Lobsters and Crabs and Shrimpies are like sea bugs. Plus, people eat insect parts in things all the time. :/ There's also cricket candy or whatever. *shrug* |
The museum also has a vending machine with snacks using bugs.
When it's parts hiding in food you aren't aware
Eating one deliberately...had a fly fly into my mouth and I almost ate it on accident once. Nope. Got it out and now my eyeball twitches when I see people talking about it, many many many years later It's not part of what I'm used to |
o_O I used to eat bugs in lollipops for Halloween. Wasn't sure if they were real or not. >.>;
As far as I know they were real. I recall these lollipops being a huge hit in stores when I was a teen. Didn't know they're still sold, but with the current bug trends I suppose it makes sense.
there are bug trends again? XD
:D So I really ate a de-venomed scorpion and house spider, preserved in hard candy??
xD Awesome! |
Most likely, yes. It would be quite the process to make such life like bugs to put into cheap candy I'd assume. I've always wanted to try some, but at the same time have no motivation to stick a candied bug in my mouth.
Monetary motivation? Environmental? Nutritional?
i'd like to try candied bugs, but given that i have a somewhat general phobia of insects...
