Doubled as a costume party and darn tooting I went in cosplay |
I knew a couple who got married ON Halloween. dunno if they're still together though, as I broke ties with the mutual friend I had with them years ago.

Not a Christmas fan? With the cold and the shopping and the yelling children about how Santa is/isn't real? The old ladies trying to get discounts on discounted products? The parents claiming you ruined their children's holidays for what ever boring reason they come up with? Warm fires. Large sweaters and scarves. Skiing and/or snowboarding. Building igloos. Getting to hear about the movie Frozen none stop. Shrek Christmas specials.

What if we just had no holidays. I would... prefer that. No American holidays.
...I'd like to celebrate the Mid-Autumn and Dragon Boat festivals, though, if only for the food. |

Once on Halloween, long ago, there was a dude who was super into jack-o-lanterns, then he had an accident on his horse that took his head right off his shoulders! And then he had to look for a new head, so he kept cutting off people's heads to see if they fit, but none did. >:] and he became a terrifying headless murderer, until he remembered he loved jack-o-lanterns, and found one. He put it on his neck stump and went around freaking the hell out of everyone as he celebrated having a head he liked at last. :] The end. Wait..did that take place on Halloween? :/ Or just in fall? Am I remembering the legend correctly?? |

Halloween is a good holiday. Veteran's Day, Armed Forces Day, and Memorial Day are ones that I celebrate, but fuck me if companies running sales for those holidays doesn't piss me the fuck off. Our armed forces don't/didn't serve/die just for you to save ten bucks on a fucking waffle iron, Karen!
