The Adults is who I am speaking of.

That's because children don't let the "norms and expectations of society" influence everything they do like adults. Then again, the biggest decision some children have to make is if they want a burger or chicken nuggets in their happy meal.

somewhat. I don't see my step-dad anymore, and he was the one who was the worst at it, but that was probably because all of his friends where my mom's friends too, and they sided with her.

That can happen, it is sad when things like that happen.
