I love dry humor! My dad was very good with it and to a certain extent my sister and I take after him. My brother isn't much for joking.

Well, that's silly. Your brother is silly.

He takes more after my mother. She tried, God bless her, but she didn't have a funny bone in her body and she sucked at telling jokes.

Oi, my sister is that way. She'll laugh her little tushie off, and I sit there just going 'what the hell was that?'

*roars* That's hilarious. She makes her own fun.

I have to confess, the humor in my family can verge on the sarcastic.

'Round here, it tends towards the racist, vulgar, and so on.

Sarcasm is one I'm fond of.

*snickers* One time back when I had four dogs I walked them to a groomer on the next block. When I came back without them my brother was in his yard (he lives across the street) and he said he thought I had had the dogs with me. With a straight face I said "Oh yeah. I tied them to the old railroad tracks, somebody will find them sooner or later." The look of shock on his face was priceless!

*laughs* I still look back on that with pride. I rarely get such openings.

My family's sense of humour tends to be very dry and often perverse and sexual.

My dad tells the corny jokes and thinks he's funny when he's not, lol.

So what jokes/pranks have you pulled that you look back on as being your finest?

Nothing quite like that, I'm afraid. But at one point, I did have my friend convinced that I knew how to brew potions and that I was the one that killed the tree in our yard.

It was actually knocked over by a hurricane.

And eaten by caterpillars.

I still don't know how she believed me.
