Worried about the man, he lifted him completely from the circle. He was sure he overdosed on some drug. Galvin did not see any instruments to indicate which substance he was abusing. It didn't matter what kind of overdosing the man was doing, his fingers slipped over the dials for 911 and he tried to keep the man awake.

as he desperately finished the impromptu closing he was lifted from the circle and he struggled in the grip. he had to be put down, he had to be put back down. kicking and thrashing he tried to get the stranger to drop him to no avail. he could feel the loa's anger and his guardians' confusion and it scared him into calling for leveau as forcefully as he could

The trashing caught him off guard be assumed it was the others inability to control his limbs. Quickly Galvin wrapped the mans body in a found blanket draping on the arms of a couch. There was a light knock on the door, he thought it unusual for the emergency people to get to the house so fast. The knock turned into a loud pounding, and Galvin opened the door already ready to spit out a fabricated lie about his friend when he found the red head standing in the door and not in blue medical smocks. There was nothing he could say while being caught red handed so he moved to let the other inside.

passing near cirro's neighborhood he had the urge to visit the man. it felt like an itch in his back and thinking nothing of it passed by without a word. when the feeling became a scratch in the back of his mind he grew paranoid and wishing to assuage it had the driver to turn around and go back so he could assure himself there was nothing wrong.

as they pulled up to the house he saw a rather expensive motorcycle in the drive and figuring the man to be in the middle of one of his cheap shows thought to leave again but the feeling would not leave and stepping free of the car went up to the door and knocked briskly. nothing. knocking harder he tasted bile and angrily beat at the door until it was opened though the one at the other end was not his lover dressed in his voodoo rags but the man pyce with his twitching lover jerking around in his arms. yanking the man free he heard the witch croak out 'circle' before stilling and pushing the nut even farther into the house rushed to the back where cirro worked his private magic. seeing the smudged chalk he hastily unwrapped the man before unceremoniously dumping him back into the middle. several attempts to pull his lover free of other circles like this one left him educated enough to know that cirro was almost certainly half out of his head and backing away let him whisper croakily the witchy voo-doo words to fix whatever the man pyce had fucked up

He should have left. A person with commonsense would have. However he stood transfixed watching Leveau/Kenneth pacify the failing limbs of the man back inside of the white circle. He came towards the circle curiously.

he could feel the man move closer to the chalk circle and turning around grabbed the man by the throat before slamming him to the ground. "do you KNOW what you were doing?! HE BELIEVES HE WILL DIE IF YOU BREAK THAT FUCKING CIRCLE" feeling his anger grow as the man underneath him took to struggling he tightened his grip and would have crushed the man's larynx if not for a raspy command to halt from his lover. without letting go he stopped squeezing quite as hard though he kept it tight enough for the man to understand how little control he had at this moment

The fast movements caught him off guard and he was blinded by burst of white within his vision. He managed a small head shake was crushing his voice box. He wheezed out the word overdose. Slowly his reflexes were kicking in now that his brain had a chance to recover despite the little air. Galvins knees begin to bend and his finger tips inched towards the dagger that lay hidden in his shoes.

he could hear cirro calling out again to have him stop but he did not trust the man to not do something stupid and remained where he was though when he felt an arm moving he gave a short warning squeeze. "are you finished? i won't bloody your floor but he attacked you while you were doing your voodoo thing, he tried to hurt you." he could see cirro sitting upright and wipe away the circle in a smooth motion. the strange itch in his shoulders went away as it was removed. he watched his lover stand and come over, the soft chalk touch to his cheek was soothing. "he did not attack me, he leaned into the circle, i was the one to break it, i was summoning ezili when he corrupted it. i was the one to break the magic"

He clenched his dagger ready to lacerate into Kenneths arm. It wasn't the fingers around his throat that kept him from stabbing the vampire in his cephalic veins, it was the fact that he could hear the dug boys voiced. He listened not understanding who Ezil was but thought perhaps the boy was insane.

he felt some of his anger dissipate and loosened his grip further. "even so he could have done serious damage...are you ok?" turning into the hand he sighed, "i don't know what i would do if something happened to you." he let let his guard down and it was taken advantage of. before he could be kissed by his lover for his actions he was stabbed by pyce. he punched the man with his free arm even as he pulled the damaged one away from the man's throat and to his chest. he scrambled to get off

Given the chance he rolled from the deranged vampire. He rapidly drew in the first real breaths of air he could take spitting out one of his teeth and sucking down as much blood as he could through the barely working nasal passages. Galvin shambled to get out of the house and back to his bike.

he did not understand what was happening until he saw the blood and the stranger ran away. pulling leveau closer he directed the man to the bathroom for linen to close the cut. he was more surprised however when as soon as they had managed to get there there was the sound of sirens and the house became occupied with medics. the last thing leveau said to him before being carted off was for him to pack his bags. he nodded at the retreating back in a daze

It was a slow and painful ride to his parents house. They called their private doctors to come and fix him and Galvin and his dog dropped off the face of the planet for while. His parents were quick to remind him how much his foolishness cost him. At least they brought him Agamemnon. With in a week he was cleared to return to his apartment. Galvin had forgotten about his encounters with Leveau, Kenneth and the hoodoo priest cirro. It was Saturday. Galvin had worked through sleepless nights to make up for a week of not rehearsing. They had threatened to move him to understudy status in the dance company. He shook off the opening night jitters, happy that his bandage could be made discrete through make up.

he had set cirro up in the red apartment in an effort to get the closest to what the brownstone was as he could. the walls and floor were wood, there was minimal metal things and it was closer to the ground floor than any of the other apartments but by the sixth day his efforts started looking more like a poor idea. cirro spent several hours every day just scrubbing. he knew better than to ask why and when the circles and brick smears began to pop up his answer was given. cirro was making wards. on the sixth day he stopped going anywhere but cirro's and home. on the sixth day he got a call

He had gotten lucky during the dance, at the last moment he changed positions with another dancer. The man took a rather horrible tumble on stage in the spot where There were suppose to land after the grand finale. Instead of having a celebratory after party they had to see a cast member off to the hospital. Galvin fell into caution. While exiting the hospital he made a few calls along the network. They informed him his name had been investigated. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up. He no longer wished to return to his apartment.

he slammed the gris-gris on the table as a nervous waiter took his order of coffee and durian puffs. slouching he waited for the drink to come, he was glad to be away from cirro's insanity for a while though it gave him time to think about the loon pyce. he sighed. if it had just been him then it could be counted off as a normal thing but he had never had a lover threatened. it was unsettling. he nearly did not notice the man coming back with his coffee
