Ummm...straight up the ruler of Heaven? xD I'll come up with more original ideas as we bounce them around with each other but that's all I can think of.

He is the god of Judgement, who allows the main character to change their allignment, either to good or to evil.

The happy bouncy mage that has all the anime trademarks like big eyes and big hair adn mini skirt, that makes really, really big explosions and she jumps for joy at each one! Yay!

A shop merchant that knows more than its saying, and also looks like it can fight but doesn't even offer.

That one awesome androgynous hidden character with wicked moves and a sad backstory you have a difficult time getting to even at mid-late game

Well I would think he's a level beast in a miscellaneous desert only accessible at the end of the game.

A winter-based merchant who joins up with the hero later in the game who doubles as an assassin/mage hyrbid

An angel who offers guidance to the party, but eventually becomes an enemy as the party learns why the angel was guiding them and they don't agree with it.

The comic relief clothes and jewelry merchant in the center town.

The protagonist's father, who everyone thinks is dead. Turns out he's alive and well, just in hiding.

The adorable childish member of the group. She's always making jokes, and almost never takes things seriously. She fights with party items and accessories, like explosive balloons, trap presents, etc.
(damn, I wanna see that character in a game now...)

The dark mage that the protagonist attacks....only to find out that this is his destined teacher. After stern lecturings and a couple of head-whacks, he agrees to teach the protagonist, but only if he's willing to give up something in return....

The mischievous underling to the antagonist. The party never takes her seriously.
