I read your work from your thread. I have to agree, you are one talented poetic writer! I don't have the gift of creative writing but I appreciate reading.
I tried a fanfiction once, but I lose interest too quickly. I'm currently trying to revive it, and maybe use it to jumpstart a nanowrimo-run.
I write poetry like a romanticist, meaning that I get inspired to write and I throw it together in one blow, or at least that's my usual style. The obvious conflict with most stories is that you need more than a few hours to write one of significant length.
I have no idea about writing. Haha! If you ask me to write something, I would just doze off. Ironically, I used to like it when I was younger, when I was still in grade school and early high school. I even write for the school paper before then suddenly it changed.
I agree, stories took more time to write and you even have to think of a good plot. Though you should try it since you already have a foundation in writing. What's a nanowrimo-run?
Nanowrmo is a event for November in which writers marathon themselves by writing around 50k words in a story starting in the beginning of the month and hopefully finishing by the end of the month.
