Yue didn't seem to mind. Or at least she didn't complain. When she was finished, she didn't get up right away.

Kalma paused for a moment then smiled slightly and started up again, but lighter now.

As night fell and wore on, Laurel rolled over and looked at Nic once more. Apparently, sleep had not come.
Default #1795
Nic didn't notice; he was still hard at work. He'd probably work late into the night if he wasn't interrupted.
Default #1796
Laurel watched Nic for a long time in silence. After awhile she stood and tried to slip out of the room without notice.
Default #1797
Nic noticed as she tried to slip out the door. "... Good night," he told her, mind still partially in what he had been working on.
Default #1798
Laurel glanced back at Nic for a moment and nodded once before leaving and heading right for the art studio.
Default #1799
Dan was still in the art studio. Though it looked like she had hit a bit of an art block, but didn't want to go to bed yet.
Default #1800
Laurel threw the door open rather loudly as she burst inside, her breathing was a bit labored as her eyes found Dan and fixed on her, "D..." Then, without any warning at all, she slipped to the floor and began to sob.
Default #1801
Dan jumped up a little, surprised. After a moment, she got over the shock and ran over to Laurel, trying to comfort her.
Default #1802
"C...n you..." Laurel managed through the sobs, "s-si...?" and she couldn't finish, the confusion in her mind overwhelming her once more as she reached out and clung to Dan.
Default #1803
"Huh?" Dan asked her gently. "Can I - what?"
Default #1804
"S..." Laurel tried to get out, "Sin...g"
Default #1805
"Uh..." Dan muttered, suddenly very uncomfortable. "I..." she looked away for a moment before turning back. "I can't," she told Laurel as gently as she could. "But I'll call Wolfe up for you."
Default #1806
Laurel shook her head fervently as she continued to sob.
Default #1807
"Al-Alright..." Dan muttered, holding Laurel a little tighter. There was some pain in her voice. She wanted to sing for Laurel, but for some reason she felt like she couldn't.
Default #1808
Laurel continued to cry, her sobs lessoning over time as she wore herself out. Eventually she fell into a restless sleep in Dan's arms.
