You can do lots
You click and give them food or take care of them ect
If you train thwm you can entwr them in the arena games like volleyball and bobsledding
once you get a fully evolved pet you can find noble and exalted versions
ex:

Normal.--------------------------------------- Noble -------------------------------------- Exalted.-
