Nic didn't say anything as he rested his chin on her head.

Raven shrugged a little, neither confirming nor denying the rumors.

Laurel listened to his heartbeat for awhile, "You been sleeping?" she inquired a bit groggily.

The girls seemed to take that as an affirmation and attacked with a barrage of questions about Wolfe.

"Not much," he replied quietly.

--

"Hold on," Raven butted in. "You have all known Wolfe longer than I have."

"Then... we should both take a nap." she yawned, "You can..." she lost her train of thought for a moment, "You can take the bed, I'll sleep on the couch." she offered quietly with her eyes closed.

The girls pouted, "He never talks to us." one exclaimed. "Or looks at us..." another added. "Or makes any facial expressions!" a young one cried.

After a moment, Nic slowly got up, maneuvering Laurel in his arms.

"... Well, that's pretty much how he always is around me," Raven replied.

Laurel blinked her eyes open but didn't protest. She looked a little confused.

"But he saved you." the girls protested, "He must like you!"

Nic proceeded to carry her to the bed and tuck her in. "... I'll take the couch," he explained.

"Who doesn't like me?" Raven argued overly vainly.

Laurel frowned a little, a bit upset. "The bed's big enough." she told him quietly, "We wouldn't be touching..."

Some of the girls suck out their tongues, "But you're special... so he must act differently around you!"

Nic shook his head a little as he finished tucking her in. He stood there for a moment longer before slowly bending down and kissing Laurel's forehead softly.

"Special?" Raven asked.

Laurel blushed a little, "Have a good sleep..." she murmured before turning over on her side and closing her eyes with a smile on her lips.

The girl's sighed, irritated. "Look, he's never shown so much interest in anyone other than Frei!" they tried to explain.

Raven kept shrugging the girls off, never giving them a clear answer.

After a little while, Laurel's eyes opened and she slowly sat up, looking to see if Nic was asleep.

That seemed to only fuel the rumors further. Eventually Frei came and interrupted them, she wanted to watch another movie. She ignored the hostile looks from the girls who believed she was stealing Raven away too.

Nic was asleep on the couch.

Raven left the girls with a few more teasing remarks before going with Frei.

Laurel silently got out of bed and went over to Nic. She squatted down in front of the couch, making sure he was asleep.

Frei looked over the movies once more, "... You decide." she told him after a moment.

He was asleep.

--

So Raven picked something they hadn't seen before that seemed to generally fit Frei's tastes.

So Laurel slowly and silently slipped up onto the couch. Once she was cuddled beside him she let out the breath she had been holding and closed her eyes.

Frei promptly sat in his lap with a blanket. As stoney as she was, she seemed to be craving affection.
