Computer heart break and the solar eclipse

did sum it up.
You can try to get it to someone to get everything they can off the hard drive... next chance you get, when your computer is up and running, get an external. put whatever you want/need to keep on it. then keep it out of the hands of everyone.
that way if something like this happens again. you can be prepared.
some people update them daily, some monthly.
some even put them in fire proof safes

I used to have a mini-external that I used to transfer files between computers whenever I got a new one but I looked at it recently and for some reason it had been wiped.

Haha, if I had an actual external hard drive I would be one of those weirdoes that puts it into safes. 'Cause I do have a lot of info on that, I just wasn't expecting this to happen. And the whole not having the spare change for an extra hard drive. xD
