Haven't played Dragon Age yet, and here I am grumping about not having a game that I'm interested in right now! Silly me.

Is Dragon Age party based, like the old Badur's Gate games where you pick up people along the way?

Pondering hopping into King's Bounty on Steam to see if I like it. Not until I get a paycheck though. Alas! Maybe it will go on sale...

Ive never played whatever game you are talking abiut but yes, you have a party.

Baldur's Gate and BG2 were older games but really popular. I heard that they are going to be re-released again with spiffed up graphics and gameplay and such. I hope so. I never did finished BG properly. They're in the same vein of games as Icewind Dale, IWD2, etc, if you've heard of those. Haven't really found a game that's sucked up as much of my attention as those games. They use Dungeons and Dragons rules, but 2e, so their outdated. Games like Neverwinter Nights use a later rules set.

I'm really hoping Icewind Dale will get re-released since my copy wont play with the new vista or Win7 operating systems. A virus conked out our old computer before I could finish it. Made me sad. :(. It's also a party game but in IWD you create your entire party. Used to take me hours because I'm a nit pick and must have superheroes for characters. ;)
