I have a question regarding Animations, in GIMP particularly. does it simply add the layers on top of each other to create the animated effect, or does it cycle through them? I'm having issues trying to make a wing flap on an avatar, as the image has Alpha channel (or what ever that's called) so there's technically no background. each stage of the animation just piles up like that.

Duckky... would you be able to do anything with my avatar??

I'd personally prefer if people had ideas on what they wanted o-o; I'm really not creative or good at thinking up stuff.

I suppose i could make the star things sort of twinkle in and out of existence?

Any movement of limbs, or items that are in front of other items is pretty hard.. so yeah those ideas are a little complex for an animation noob like me x3

I honestly would not know what kind of animation I would want besides the gates behind my avatar opening and closing or the moon coming up and setting.. o..0;

I believe it's just like a film, Ducky. It simply goes from one slide to the next depending on how fast you set the animation speed, etc. Through I think you have the option of merging and not merging the layers if you want.. I know saving in png merges the layers automatically.

I've never done art, animation or anything similar before, so I doubt i'll be pulling of correct looking animations on things more complex than avatar any time soon..

if only Mizzys art was as small as that little pixel doll >_< just having an open and closed frame would be a lot easier..
