Image size in a post. #1

I'm setting up a thread but the image is clearly too large for the post. What is the largest size that I can put in a post without causing the post to stretch? I mean width wise.

Because right now the image is doing this. The weird white lines. o Ao

Images that are too large are automatically resized so that massive horrible stretch oh-god-what-did-my-page-just-do moment doesn't happen. However, the size you're looking for would be somewhere around 575 pixels wide.
