Choco; They wont be surprise pets. You'll know what they are. It's a little hard to explain. But the Forest holds unlimited and limited animals, so the type of animals that go in there is what the mystery is. The reason why it wont be surprise pets is because we don't have a dice or random feature.

Best I could come up with is a random egg. A mysteries egg would require a lot of pets since each one would more or likely need to be different.

i has a mystery egg oxo i decide what comes out a head of time and make it before i post the egg.. they don't know what the 'real' egg looks like until after they quoted it with a name oxo its part of my 'drop' thingy

Well I can understand that. But in order to keep the animal a mystery, the animal needs to be different each time the mysteries egg is bought/dropped. Which means that no one else has that animal [pattern/color] At least that's what I think. If anything I can take out the adult from the preview and just put up the egg's that are available through the forest, and if someone wants a random egg, like they don't mind which one they get, I can choose for them that way. But since both Unlimited and Limited animals are in the Forest, I don't think I can do a mystery egg.
By unlimited, I mean anyone and everyone can get that animal, where as a limited animal is only a certain number of people can get it. But they aren't a mystery since one could just go look in the owners list if they wanted to.

why not have a gray 'blank' egg with a number? the users pick a number and they can have the egg that goes with it? does not have to be a new egg at all

So like the user wont know what it is, but if they really wanted to know how their egg turns out after they get it, they can choose to look at the owners list on their own. So it's kind of a mysteries egg so long as you choose to keep it that way.

DK; They have yet to do the new script for that. We are waiting for it currently. So for now they are only by clicks.
