An overpriced at three dollars romance novel that someone left when they checked out of my hotel. I hadn't brought anything to read that night and had a mind-numbing bit of downtime so I ended up grabbing it.

Just finished Ysabel (finally). Kinda bummed at the ending, more somber than I was hoping. Book was much more about character than plot really, but that seems to be something of a thing with Kay. Going to read another book of his, just deciding which one, not that I don't have a pile other books that are half finished.

I recently finished Timeless by Gail Carriger.

The latest was called Oogy. It's about a dog that was used a bait dog as a puppy and his story about growing up with the family and people's reactions to him, as his face was horribly damaged and disfigured as a result of the dog fighting. I highly recommend it! =)

Sounds interesting. My sister's dog was a rescue puppy. The previous owners were attempting to make him a fighting dog. He had to have his ear fixed and tail reconstructed from the abuse he was put through to try and make him viscious. It didn't work. The dog is happy as anything, though very rambunctious.

The Host by Stephanie Meyer.(Yep Same author as the Twilight series, which I thought read like a 12 year old's diary and I wasn't really impressed with.)

My mom actually pushed me to read it, and with nothing else on bubble bath night, I picked it up.

And could NOT put it down! I loved it. It was SO much better then her other books. It just.. was not geared towards a love story. It had depth. Real feelings. Not, sparkly vampires and a girl that is in love with an older man. Whoopdeedo...

I recommend it, EVEN IF YOU LIKED TWILIGHT. My mom loved it too, and she, at 61, is a twi-nerd too.

The Host was an interesting book, I agree with you. She'll probably do more from that scenario. I just can't get over some of it though...

And the writing was very similar to Twilight, imo. Just not well crafted, I moaned about her writing the whole way through it. However, I did read it, I wanted to know what happened so that tells you something. :)

The last book I read was Intraoperative Neurophysiology by Mirela Simon. Fun.
I used to have a sig. Really.

The last book I finished would probably have to be Anne Rice's The Tale of the Body Thief,if memory serves me correctly.
