I'm not sure I know anyone that hasn't met with a jelly. Kind of typical, living by the beach and all.

Lucky. I'd love to live near the beach.

It's not so fun when hurricane season rolls around. And it's constantly humid, even after days of rain. Makes the 100+ heat that much worse. Beaches end up too tourist filled to really enjoy. It's nice in the fall, though, when things calm down. The water stays warmer for a while as the air cools.

But still. You can go to the beach at any time...

I live in the middle of the us. It'd take about 14 hours to drive to the coast....

The beach seems slightly less appealing when you've seen human feces and used sanitary pads in the waters... Among other things.

Eww... I'd rather not think about that...

You can see why I'm not quite so enthusiastic.

Sadly, the bay's suffered a lot from pollution, and I happen to be down where all the muck from the other states comes out to meet the ocean. The nicer beaches are more out of the way.
