well first because canada did not have a violent falling out with brittan which is a big part of why americans rejected the intellectual to begin with, it wa seen as brittish to be well educated and therefore weak and horrid and unpleasant and quite unwholesome, have you ever read the original sleepy hollow? ichabod crane is brittan and bone is america, the lug got the girl and we are supposed to take from that the idea that ones physical prowess is enough and should be the most important part not one's intellect

and so in canada there would be less pressure to vaunt the stupid XD
