Koala's are so adorable OnO I hate how when I was a kid i was told it was a bear only to be told by someone else years later that its not! Talk about crushing dreams.. its worse the when I learned santa didn't exist xD or the tooth fairy (whom i named Pocahontas) -w-,

Red pandas aren't bears, though. Only panda-pandas. Koalas are cute whether they're bears or not. I did a report on them in the first grade so I wasn't heartbroken when I found out they weren't bears, I just felt really smart.

I like Pandas! Always been fond of black bears (handy because they're all over the place here, though I've only seen one once. My cousin shoos them and Grizzlies off his property on a weekly basis), and moon bears. They have a neat face. :)

I'm not sure if people really thought Koala were bears as much as the name thing where people always added "Bear" to the name, like when people say "panda bear." "Koala bear" was really common when I was a kid.

Fortunately I was a nature show junkie so wasn't too out of it on a lot of things. Spent all day yesterday watching a marathon of World's Wierdest. Best species name ever = Sarcastic Fringehead.

I'd be surprised if any I learned about in elementary school still exist. (Metaphorically speaking).

OnO I don't trust shows like that.. Not after the Dragons Exist Documentary..

At the end of the show they said "Sorry but these are alll hypothosis on how dragons live. All the bones and fossilized egg shells are fake."
