Nic didn't try to argue with Laurel as he finished starting the fire. Then when he was done with that, he tried to make Laurel drink some more water.

Nic kept trying, hoping the warmth from the fire would improve her mood enough to drink some more water before she passed out.

The fire did seem to help. She slowly stopped crying but still refused the water. "Tell me you love me," she whispered., face still hidden.

Kale walked silently in the front, eyes flashing from side it side. It wasn't much farther to his hidden boat. He didn't even bother to look over his shoulder at the boy, knowing his threat and presence alone about keep him in line.

Nic slowly woke up, looking to see who it was.

Blaze sighed silently as the teenage boy tripped again. He hadn't said a word since Kale had put the fear of god in him. He clung to his backpack tightly, glancing around, looking for some way to escape. But Blaze pushing him gently forward which kept him in line for another few minutes. Blaze felt a little sorry for the kid, but she didn't let it show.
