"What happened to your bike, Nic?" Laurel asked after a moment.

Nic shrugged.

Laurel paused, "Do you want to get another one?"

"I don't see the use in that at the moment," Nic replied.

"But you loved working on that motorcycle, right? You had all these cool..." she paused trying to describe it, "gadgets and secret things."

Nic blinked, not quite sure what Laurel was getting at. "I don't need one," he replied.

"Oh..." Laurel replied, "So it's not a hobby?"

Nic paused before shaking his head.

"Do you have any hobbies?" Laurel inquired. She'd thought it was motorcycles.

Nic shook his head.

Laurel blinked again, "Wait, what do you do that you like doing?"

Nic shrugged.

"... Do you have fun?" Laurel suddenly asked, getting a little worried.

"Fun?" Nic asked, waiting for Laurel to be more specific.

"Like..." Laurel sighed a little, only to Nic would she have to describe 'fun.' "Wanting to do something, something you're excited to do. Something that makes you happy."
