"So, you want to start everything over," Rosen mused, finally letting go of his cheek, "Well then, friend, I'll help you. Do you have any idea where you'd like to start?"

Long struggled not to completely slip away again. Everything was seeming to overwhelm him at once.
Default #9811
Rosen paused before hugging Long, "It's okay," he told him quietly, "You can start small."
Default #9812
Long still said nothing, not hugging Rosen back.

Rosen paused for a moment, "Okay, how about sand castles? Have you ever made a sand castle?"
Default #9814
Long paused before shaking his head.

"Then let's make one. It's part of childhood," he explained before letting go of Long and pushing the seaweed away from them.
Default #9816
Long sat there quietly, not sure what Rosen was doing.
Default #9817
Once a big enough space was cleared in front of him, Rosen started scooping up the slightly damp sand, "First you have to make a wall," he explained, "to keep out the ocean." He started dropping scoops of sand into a line.

Long just watched Rosen as he constructed the sand castle.
Default #9819
Rosen explained everything he was doing to Long as he started actually building the castle, when the basic structure was done, he turned to Long, "Now we decorate it," he explained before grabbing some seaweed and handing it to Long, "Help me out."

Long still seemed confused, but after awhile he gave it a shot. And like the bow, he was being very particular about decorating the sand castle.
Default #9821
Rosen sat back and let him have at it, smirking at Long's particularity.
Default #9822
It took a long time for him to finally find something he seemed to like. But this seemed like a much bigger job to him than the bow. Or maybe it was just easier to be particular about the small things than to think about other things.
Default #9823
"I think I've decided what we're going to do," Rosen stated when it looked like Long was done. He'd been tanning again.
Default #9824
Long didn't say anything, sitting down quietly as he looked at his work.
