Yeah, I could do better, lol. But I'm still getting used to the pressure points of the pen. I can't wait til I start getting used to it. I'm going to stick to practicing on this eye til I get it perfected, then move on to another body part. Try to get my rusty drawing skills back on track.

So I take it that you're aiming for the manga style?

Mostly, yes. Tho, I've read in some areas that to better do manga, it would be wise to learn how to draw realistic.
My expertise when pencil drawing was always animal related, so I figured it's about time for me to learn human anatomy as well.

For anatomy, you do want to start with a realistic sense of anatomy. It took me a very, very long time to pull my art far away enough from manga to be able to focus on anatomy.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I have my mother's book around here somewhere for realism. I'm hoping that I can find it and use it for a starters. But I'll mostly look to DA for tutorials. Found tons of great tutorials for 'em. Just hard to view them side-by-side. Kinda wish I could dual-screen with the Sanyo, lol.
Only my husbands computer is set up for that, tho.

And DA is where I get all my refs/tutorials from.

That would be awesome! It's difficult to weed out the basic and advanced tutorials in DA. And I do a search by the most popular cause I hate to say it but most of the time, the 'recently added' ones are just.... not worth my time. But I guess I'm just that picky. However, I have found crappy tutorials that I've worked with and made better, so I suppose they're not all 'crappy'.

I also find it funny cause of the dark/medium/light strokes used in the eye, haha. I haven't got the pressure thing down yet. >.>

Haha, It took me ages to make anything recognizable on the tablet. It's a difficult tool to wield. You're already doing great with it.
