Frei paused before shifting a little in her seat, "Where were you?" she asked quietly.

"... Huh?" Fin asked, not understanding the question.

Frei was quietly for a moment, "You're late," she accused in a whisper.

"... I came as soon as I heard," Fin replied.

Frei seemed to accept that. She swallowed a little, "I don't think..." she muttered, "I can give you what you want."

"Huh?" Fin asked, confused.

Frei didn't explain, staring off to the side a bit sadly.

"What do you mean?" Fin asked, still not getting it.

"A kitten will grow into a cat," she murmured, "I don't... understand cats."

Fin was still a little lost.

Frei paused again before slowly looking up at Fin. "I'll try to... be stable," she promised quietly.

Fin didn't say anything, still a little concerned he didn't know what she was trying to say earlier.

Frei stared at Fin for a moment before reaching out and suddenly squeezing one of Fin's biceps.

Fin flinched a little, still a bit sore.

Frei blinked before glancing at Fin's face a bit curiously.

Fin didn't say anything, enduring it.
