So Kale slowly stepped in between them.

Blaze blinked at Kale, putting a hand on his shoulder.

Kale glanced at the hand before looking back at Blaze, "You alright?"

Blaze paused before nodding. ".. It's alright," she reassured him quietly. "I... I just thought I was the only one left."

"You want to talk to him?" Kale asked.

It didn't look like they had much choice, Pepper was already dragging Tusk over.

So Blaze just waited until Pepper had dragged Tusk over. After watching each other quietly for another moment Blaze nodded a little to him. "... Tusk," she recalled. Tusk paused before nodding.

"You're just too stubborn to die," Blaze noted with a slight chuckle to her voice. Tusk didn't reply.

Kale glanced at Pepper who shrugged, "I don't think it's fair that she has two years of life while Tusk has next to none," she stated simply.

"... It's good to see you," Blaze suddenly said quietly to Tusk. Tusk glanced away.

Pepper rolled her eyes, "Face her like a man, you wuss," Pepper complained before looking at Kale.

Kale sighed a little, "Let's get you something to eat," he decided, taking her away from Tusk and Blaze.

"I just have nothing to say to her," Tusk explained as they walked off. Blaze and Tusk continued to be awkward for a few minutes before Blaze finally walked up and gave him a hug. They almost looked like two little kids, and Tusk didn't want her cooties. Yet he didn't shove her off either. But he could only take so many warm fuzzies before starting to feel sick, so he walked off to grab a drink.

Pepper and Kale started talking, being the two oldest of the Neonates they were closer than the others.

Laurel looked around at all the people and decided she needed a drink.

So Blaze walked off to find someone else to talk to.
